Happy Ending: Ripley the Dog Returns Home
Missing since Friday, the boxer is hungry, but safe.

Today's early morning rain brought more than just mud with it.
Missing since Friday, Ripley the dog returned safely to her grateful family’s home in the Autumn Hill neighborhood at about 4:30 a.m. Wednesday morning.
“She just showed up at the back door in the rain,” said Kelli Rathfon, Ripley’s owner, in an email. “She hates the rain so that might have made her find her way home.”
Rathbon said the tan-and-white boxer is a little beat up from being outside for several days and hungry, but otherwise OK.
In the days Ripley was missing, the Rathfon family plastered the area with flyers featuring the 5-year-old missing boxer’s photo and notified Cranberry Police and the Humane Society about the missing dog.
Rathfon said they also received calls about Ripley sightings in the Freedom Road area. The family is thrilled to have her back safe and sound.
“We are just so, so happy our Ripley is home!” Rathfon said.

I saw her along Powell on Friday but couldn't safely pull over. When I came back through she was gone. I have been looking for her when I go through there ever since. So glad to know she's safe and home!

Thanks for posting the update! I received a flyer on my mailbox and even though I had not seen the dog I kept the flyer just in case. Good news the dog is home...and now I can get rid of the flyer!

If I could make a suggestion to further prevent another incident, look into Invisible Fence. This is the best assurance for never losing your beloved pet again. I can't say enough about this containment system.
