1. Seneca Valley School Board Meeting
What’s going on in your child’s school? Find out in person when Seneca Valley school officials meet at 8 p.m. Monday at the Intermediate High School in Jackson Township.
2. Seneca Valley Homecoming Carnival and Parade
Seneca Valley will hold its homecoming carnival and parade at 5:10 and 7 p.m. Thursday at the secondary campus in Jackson Township. The homecoming game will be held at 7 p.m. Friday at NexTier Stadium. The dance will be from 7 to 10:30 p.m. Saturday.
3. Wine Tasting at St. Gregory’s Catholic Church
St. Gregory will host at wine tasting at 6:30 p.m. Saturday at the Bergman Event Center on Pine Street in Zelienople. The event will feature hors d'oeuvres, gift baskets, a 50/50 raffle and, of course, wine to taste.
Participants must be at 21 years of age to attend the event. Tickets are $15 each and available at the parish office at St. Gregory.
4. Herofest
From 12 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Fun Fore All in Cranberry will offer a discounted two-hour fun pass for $16.50 per person. Any local police officers, firefighters, paramedics, military and other community servicemen also may purchase two-hour fun pass for only $12.
The day’s event also includes a visit from Cranberry firefighters, balloon art, face painting and more.
Proceeds benefit Court Appointed Special Advocates of Allegheny County, a nonprofit that works to recruit, train and supervise community volunteers who advocate for abused and neglected children in court and throughout the child welfare system.
5. Steelers Cabana Bash for Children’s Hospital
Howard Hanna's Cranberry office hosts this "fun" fundraiser for the Children's Hospital Free Care Fund, at 1 p.m. Sunday at Cabana Bar in Pine Township.
Cheer on the Steelers as they take on the Raiders with four hours of open bar, a buffet dinner, silent auction, 50/50 raffle and more surprises. There also will be a morning "tailgate" corn hole tournament.
The cost is $40 per person. You must be at least 21 to attend Sunday’s event. Call Yvonne Guthrie at 724-452-1100 for tickets.
