Five Things You Need To Know This Week
Patch gives you a rundown of what's going on around the community.
1. Cranberry HOA Neighborhood Forum
Get the latest on what’s going on in Cranberry’s neighborhoods, including more details on the township’s summer slow down campaign. The homeowners association meeting takes place at 6:30 p.m. Monday in administration room 203 inside the Cranberry Municipal Center on Rochester Road.
2. Totally Tubular Tuesday Night Swim
Swim under the stars from 9 to 11 p.m. Tuesday at the Cranberry Waterpark. Don’t forget to bring your favorite float. For more information, call the township’s parks and recreation department at 724-776-4806.
3. Flag Day
Celebrate the adoption of the American flag Thursday by showing respect for Old Glory. Take your old and tattered flags to the Retire Old Glory drop-off bin at the Cranberry Township Municipal Center. Flags from the bin are collected every few weeks and then destroyed in a respectful retirement ceremony by members of the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars and Boy Scouts of America.
4. Last Day of School for Seneca Valley Students
No more pencils, no more books—at least for the next three months. Seneca Valley schools let out for the summer on Friday.
5. North Catholic 5K and Family Fun Walk: Trojan Tuition Trot
North Catholic will hold its Trojan Tuition Walk 5K and Family Fun Walk Saturday at the J.C. Stone Field at North Park. Walk-in registration and check-in is at 8 a.m. The race begins at 9 a.m. The school will be giving away two $2,500 tuition discounts for one year of North Catholic tuition. To be eligible, you must be a current or future North Catholic student, parent or legal guardian. The cost is $10 per ticket. For more information, click here.

Sorry but the last day for Seneca Valley Students is a half day of school on Friday. Not Thursday. http://www.svsd.net/cms/lib01/PA01001234/Centricity/Domain/1/2011-12_Teacher-Student_Calendar_Final.pdf
