Cranberry Hosts Regional Town Hall Meeting and Expo on Marcellus Shale

The event will be Thursday at the Regional Learning Alliance Center in the Cranberry Woods Office Park.

 

If you’re a business owner wanting to learn more about drilling in the Marcellus Shale, here’s your chance to get up close and personal with people in the industry.

Cranberry’s Regional Learning Alliance Center on Thursday will play host to the Western Pennsylvania Marcellus Shale Expo and Town Hall Meeting from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Range Resources is sponsoring the free event, which is open to consumers and businesses and will feature 30 exhibits. There also will be round-table discussions with industry experts.

There will be a town hall-style meeting at 10 a.m. Robert Mangino will be the host of “State & Local Zoning Issues & How to Address Them.” There also will be the following breakout sessions:

  • Financial Implications of Marcellus Shale Drilling for Landowners and Investors: Maniet Financial Services Network will present it at 11 a.m.
  • Establishing a Career Game-Plan for Marcellus Shale: New Castle School of Trades will present it at 1 p.m.
  • Understanding the Oil and Gas Lease and Leasing Process: What You Need to Know Before and After You Sign a Lease: Marcellus Lease Layers LLC will present it at 2 p.m.

 

KDKA Radio’s Mike Pintek will conduct another town hall meeting,  “Environment & Economic Challenges and Opportunities of Drilling,” at 4 p.m.  

The exhibits will close at 5 p.m.
