Cranberry CUP Cancels Sunday Softball Games

The games are rescheduled for Saturday, Aug. 11 or Saturday Aug. 18.

Sunday’s wet weather has forced the nonprofit Cranberry CUP to cancel all remaining softball games for the day.

The games will resume Saturday, Aug. 11 or Saturday Aug. 18. More details on the times and fields will be available soon, according to CUP organizers.

Cranberry CUP, which stands for Community Uniting People, raises money to support local families in need. The annual softball tournament—in which different neighborhoods compete against each other to win the coveted Cranberry CUP trophy—is the nonprofit’s signature fundraiser.

This year’s beneficiary is 8-year-old Cheyannia Marburger and her family. To learn more about Cheyannia, who was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor last December, click here.
