Evans City Youth & Scholastic Trap Team Moves on to Nationals

We did it again !

In 2011 members of both the Evans City Youth and Scholastic teams represented Zelienople, CRanberry, Mars, Evans City, Butler County, the city of Pittsburgh & Western PA at the state Trap Shoot in Elysburg, PA. Members of the Evans City scholastic team advanced  to the “Grand American Trap Shoot ” held at the World Shooting & Recreation Complex in Sparta, ILL. More than 3,000 Trap shooters participate in “Grand American” with shooters & teams from all across the United States. Along with numerous international teams from countries around the world. In 2011 our Evans City “kids” &  team” went on to place 2nd against Nationally ranked,  competitors and teams !

In 2012 and for the second year in a row Evans City teams & kids successfully defended their positions at the State Trap Shooting finals sponsorred by Pennsylvania State Sportsman’s Association June 9th & 10th.

So... we will again move on to our second  Grand American” competition and honors in Sparta, IL this August 6-7th !

I’m hoping that everyone in our area may be interested in our kids, our story &  our success and the news of our future success at "The Grand Nationals". It’s our hope that raising visibility  and exposure to Youth based shooting sports will help support youth based shooting sports and further the involvement of Kids in the ranks & future of the shooting sports.
